The Introduction of the Special Issue

Urban planning is a matter of extreme importance for the success and correct functioning of cities.The buildings must always be in harmony with the local urban context,as well as other conditions related to urban transport (public and private)and flow of people in the urban environment.Thus,research related to the field of urban planning in developing countries is extremely relevant for regional development,as well as comparative among developed countries in this area.

 

The Research Scope of the Special Issue

·Use of urban planning tools in cities.

·Context of the use of urban space and improvement of the quality of life of society.

·Development of transport practices in developing and developed countries.

·Methods of optimizing the flow of people in an urban environment.

·Impact of buildings and new buildings on urban planning.

 

Submission guidelines

All papers should be submitted via the Urban Transportation and Construction  submission system: http://utc.usp-pl.com/index.php/utc

Submitted articles should not be published or under review elsewhere. All submissions will be subject to the journal’s standard peer review process. Criteria for acceptance include originality, contribution, scientific merit and relevance to the field of interest of the Special Issue.

Afonso Rangel Garcez de Azevedo

PhD in Civil Engineering, Structures, by the State University of Norte Fluminense (UENF - 2018), has been researched in the areas of civil construction materials and industrial use. He holds a Masters in Civil Engineering from the Northern Fluminense State University Darcy Ribeiro (UENF - 2015), Civil Engineer from the Northern Fluminense State University Darcy Ribeiro (UENF - 2013). Assistant Professor of Redentor Campos Faculty (undergraduate and graduate Latu Sensu), Cândido Mendes University and the Fluminense Northern State University Darcy Ribeiro as well as Civil Engineer of the Federal Fluminense Institute (IFF). He has experience in the area of building materials and ceramics and works in the disciplines of the civil construction axis, environmental sanitation, pre and post graphic installations. Serves as a reviewer of the periodicals Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, Construction and Construction Materials, Materials Research, Materials Research and Technology Journal and Journal of Building Engineering in addition to other university extension magazines. He is the author of textbooks for Distance Education (EAD) in Civil Engineering.
